Father: Frederick Denny John Wade, born November 1880, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk – died September 1944, 1, Coval Avenue, Chelmsford, Essex. An Electrician.

Mother: Laura Eliza Wade (nee Smith), born November 1877.

Family home: ‘Plymbury’ 1, Coral Avenue, Chelmsford, Essex.

4th and 5th Battalions:
The Battalions were attached to the 18th East Anglian Division.
15 February 1942: After the fall of Singapore, approximately 620 of the Battalions were taken POW and later mostly died on the Burma-Thailand Railway.
