PERCY JOHN MORLEY

Born: 6th August 1906, Ipswich.

Died: 17th May 1944; age: 37; died at Five Oaks Road, Billingshurst, West Sussex from Aspleyxia due to heavy pressure across front of chest and base of neck caused by being pinned underneath a R.A.F. van in which he had been travelling and which capsized owing to a skid.

Inquest held 20th May 1944.

Residence: 247, Sidegate Lane, Ipswich.

Occupation: Brewery Ledger Clerk.

At the start of the Second World War Percy was an A.R.P. Warden – part time – County Borough of Ipswich.

 

Rank: Leading Aircraftman; Service Number: 1228133.

Regiment: Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 2703 Squadron, Royal Air Force Regiment.
