Died: 2nd August 1918; age 29; Killed by mine in the North Sea. 

Employed as a Painter & Paperhanger for Messrs. Sargeant & Sons, Norwich Road, Ipswich.

Enlistment Details: Location: Devonport; Date: 19th September 1916; Signed up for the Hostilities; Occupation: Painter. Height: 5ft 6 3/4ins, fresh complexion, grey eyes & dark brown hair.

Rank: Ordinary Seaman; Service Number: J/58794
