Occupation: a Hosier in his father’s business.

Enlistment Location: London; Date: 27th November 1914; Religion: Pysbyterian. Next of Kin: father – Arthur Joseph Ridley. Height: 5ft 7 1/2ins, medium complexion, blue eyes and dark brown hair. Moles on the left side of neck.

Edward could swim.

Regiment: Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.
