Died: 5th March 1945; age: 28.

Occupation: Metropolitan Police – warrant number 125793. Joined on the 22nd March 1937 – Last posted to C Division as a Police Constable.

 

Rank: Lieutenant; Service Number: 320803.

Regiment: Royal Artillery, 114 Field Regiment.

Donald is also remembered on the Ipswich School Chapel war memorial.

    Thank you for posting these details about Donald Palmer – my father, John Palmer, was his first cousin, and was very close to him. He remembered him fondly, and with sorrow, for the rest of his life. His memory lives on with me.
