CHARLES HENRY SCRIVENER

Born: 1927, Ipswich.

Died: 6th August 1945; age: 18; at the Victoria Hospital, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, the result of an accident – shock hemorrhage and multiple injuries caused when crushed between a moving army lorry and a stationary army lorry.

Inquest held on the 8th August 1945.

Residence: 72, Felix Road, Ipswich.

 

Rank: Driver; Service Number: T/14452604.

Regiment: Royal Army Service Corps.

Ipswich.

 

Father: William Barrell Scrivener, born December 1885, Ipswich. A Ministry of Labour Caretaker.

Mother: Eva Elizabeth Scrivener (nee Mortimer), born July 1895, Ipswich.

 

Charles is also remembered on the war memorial at St. Augustine of Hippo Church, Ipswich.
