E.A.D.T. – Friday, 27^th September 1918 – Mrs. Florence Hill, of Popular Cottage, Bramford Road, Ipswich, has received information that her husband, Private Arthur Bertie Hill, of the Lancashire Fusiliers, died of wounds on the 18^th September. He leaves a widow and three children.

On the 2^nd September 1906, at All Saints Church, Ipswich, 22 year old Arthur, a labourer, of 493, Bramford Road, Ipswich married 20 year old Florence Harriet Woollard, of 95, Waveney Road, Ipswich, born May 1886, Sproughton, Suffolk – daughter of Alfred Robert Woollard, a farm labourer, and Hannah Woollard (nee Smith), of Upper Street, Sproughton, Suffolk.

Florence and Arthur had three children:

Harriet May Hill, born July 1909, Ipswich.

Bertie Charles Hill, born June 1912, Ipswich.
