Born: 3rd November 1918, Ipswich.
Died: 17th August 1945, age: 26; died of Malaria as a Japanese PoW at Tagri on the Thailand/Burma Railway.
Captured: 15th February 1942 – Fall of Singapore.
Residence: 4, St. Matthew’s Church Lane, Ipswich.
Occupation: Motor Mechanic.
Rank: Bombardier; Service Number: 5828175.
Regiment: Royal Artillery, 135 (The Hertfordshire Yeomanry) Field Regiment.
The body was originally buried at Tagri Cemetery. On the 5th April 1946, the body was exhumed, identified by records and re-buried at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.
