On the 1911 census, Thomas’s mother was living with her sister & brother-in-law, niece & nephew at their home at Carlton Green, Saxmundham, Suffolk. Esther Redhead (nee Hart) was 26 years old, born Heveningham, Suffolk, and had been married for 2 years.


In 1908, Ipswich, Esther Hart married Thomas James Redhead.


In 1933, in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, Thomas married Phyllis Audrey Copeland, born October 1909, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk – daughter of Ernest Edwin Copeland, an upholsterer, and Lilian Anne Copeland (nee Honeyball), of 16, St. John’s Street, Bury St. Edmunds.

Phyllis and Thomas had one daughter.



Thomas’s wife Phyllis and their daughter, Jennifer were living at 17, Norman Road, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. The family home of Phyllis’s sister Kathleen Vera Wallace-Pannell and

her husband, Albert W. Wallace-Pannell, a carpenter & joiner.
