Rupert’s father was Robert John Barker, born 1836, born Canterbury, Kent. He was a Book Keeper & Collector.

 

Rupert attended St. Mary Magdalene School before moving on to Cold Blow Lane Temporary School, Lewisham, on the 24th April 1893. His address – 35, Mason Road. His father was recorded as Robert. Rupert left the school on the 22nd May 1896.
