Father: William James Studd, born 1885, Walton, Suffolk – died 22nd November 1918, from illness during the First World War. William was ranked a Driver, service number 10926, for the Royal Engineers, 1st Pontoon Park. William was laid to rest at Caudry British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.

Mother: Dora Ellen Elizabeth Studd (nee Hearn), born April 1886, Felixstowe, Suffolk.

 

Robert’s mother, Dora remarried in 1920, to Thomas J. Williams, they made their family home at – 71, Princes Road, Felixstowe.

 

In 1936, Ipswich, Robert married Joyce Hazel Roper, born July 1916, in the district of Woodbridge, Suffolk.

They had 3 children:

Ann E. Studd, born June 1937, Felixstowe, Suffolk.

Janice E, Studd, born 1938, Felixstowe.

Richard J. Studd, born 1941, Ipswich.
