The body was originally buried at Foggia Civil Cemetery. On the 3rd October 1944, the body was exhumed, identified and reburied at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.

In Dovercourt, Reginald’s mother, Mary Ann Dunningham, died in 1930. His father, George Dunningham, died in 1935 in Dovercourt.

Reginald’s brother, Thomas George Dunningham, died in the First World War. KiA 25th September 1915, age 21, a Private, service number 1191, of the London Regiment, 20th (County of London) Battalion (Blackheath & Woolwich). Thomas resided in Blackheath and enlisted at New Cross. Laid to rest at Arras Road Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.

In 1934, Ipswich, Reginald married Dorothy Annie Hamer, born December 1910, Ipswich – daughter of Edward Hamer, a labourer for Ransome & Rapier Ltd., of Waterside Works, Ipswich, and Jane Elizabeth Hamer (nee Turner), of 19, St. Clements Church Lane, Ipswich.
