Died: 19th June 1944; Age: 27; died of Beriberi as a Japanese PoW – at Liang, Ambon.

Captured: 8th March 1942 – Fall of Java.

Residence: 6, Grove Lane, Ipswich.

 

Rank: Leading Aircraftman; Service Number: 903067.

Regiment: Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 211 Squadron – operated Beaufighter Mk X aircraft.

 

Originally buried at Batoe Doeah, Liang, Ambon, grave 136. Body later exhumed, identified by Japanese records, and reburied 2nd April 1946, Ambon War Cemetery.
