Baptised on the 24th November 1895, at St. Michael and All Angels Church, Tunstall – family home at Tunstall.
Died: 10th January 1918; age 22; died of wounds received in action at the 45th Casualty Clearing Station.
Residence: Rose Cottage, Tunstall.
Enlistment Location: Ipswich.
Went out to France in July, 1916. Severely wounded in October 1916, he went to France again in June 1917.
Rank: Lance Corporal; Service Number: 43114
Regiment: Suffolk Regiment, 12th Battalion.
Formerly 2311, Suffolk Cyclists.
Medals Awarded: Victory & British War.
