Mother: Marjorie Esther Brettell (nee Orton)


Two other men were also killed from the 61 Light Regiment on the 14th September 1952.

Sergeant R.H. Broadbent, aged 24.

Warrant Officer 2nd Class/Battery Sergeant Major Charles Robert Woosnam, aged 31 – of Colwyn Bay, Wales.

In April 2013, Charles Woosnam’s nephew Brian Woosnam was presented with his late Uncle’s Queen Elizabeth Cross and memorial scroll, at a ceremony in Llandudno, North Wales.
