Marshall’s father, George Robert Rands died 1929, Ipswich.

 

In 1935, Waldringfield, Suffolk, Marshall married Emily May Rush, born October 1907, Waldringfield, Suffolk.

They had 1 son:

David M. Rands, born 1936, Ipswich.

 

Marshall’s stepbrother, Owen Lawrence Gage, lost his life in the Second World War, as a result of wounds received on the 13th June 1940, aged 44 years. He was an Able Seaman for the Merchant Navy, on board S.S.’Train Ferry No.2.’ He is remembered on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.
