The spring of 1941 the Battalion travelled to Scotland from Dursley Gloucestershire. Boarding a ship first to Gibralter and then transferred to the Cruiser HMS Edinburgh to be taken to Malta landing 25th July 1941 taking part in the defence of Malta.
21st May 1944 the Battalion disembarked at Naples, Italy.
Early August the attack on Florence crossing the Arno river.
Late August Gothic Line, Monte Cazzolano
September and October Monte Ceco.
