Herbert’s father was Arthur Albert Harvey, born 1860, Hoo – died 1904, Hoo. A Farm Labourer.

 

In 1929, Monwedon, Suffolk, Herbert married Nita Constance Margery Tarrant, born December 1903, Monwedon, Suffolk. They had 6 children.

 

ENGLAND & WALES REGISTER 1939.

Herbert was a Charge Hand – Trolley Bus Cleaner – Ipswich Corporation. He and Nita were living at their family home – 8, Heather Avenue, Ipswich with their 6 children.

 

Herbert’s brother, Albert Arthur Harvey, born 31st January 1900, was KiA in the First World War, on the 4th November 1914. A Private in the 2nd Battalion of the Suffolk Regiment, service number 5494. He is remembered on Panel 9, of Le Touret Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.

 

Herbert is also remembered on the war memorial at St. Augustine of Hippo, Ipswich.
