Harold’s mother, Eliza Jane Lofthouse died June 1917, at Hemingfield, Garfield Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk.


Harold attended Ipswich School entered 1891.

Harold was 25 years old, residence at Felixstowe, occupation Rancher. Initiation date – 28th November 1901 – Passing date – 30th December 1901 – Raising date – 30th January 1902 – Certificate – 3rd February 1902.

His father Henry Wilson Lofthouse, residence at Felixstowe, had become a member on the 22nd November 1900.




On the 29th November 1899, 22 year old, Harold, a Rancher, arrived at the Port of Liverpool. He had embarked from the Port of New York and sailed on S.S. ‘Teutonic.’


In April 1907, 30 year old Harold arrived at St. Albans, Vermont, U.S.A.


On the 13th April 1907, 30 year old, Harold arrived at the Port of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. He had embarked from the Port of Liverpool and sailed on S.S. ‘Empress of Ireland.’


On the 17th December 1910, at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Harold married Eva Stevenson, born 1889, U.S.A.

Harold is remembered on Ipswich schools WW1 war memorial.
