Regiment: Parachute Regiment Army Air Corps, (2/4th Battalion. The South Lancashire Regiment(Prince of Wales Volunteers)).

Formerly a Corporal – A.T.C – before joining the Suffolk Regiment  – Godfrey was later transferred to the Parachute Regiment.
