Died: 10th April 1918; age 21.

Residence: 14, Northgate Street, Ipswich.

Gazetted Second Lieutenant in the 6th (Cyclist) Battalion, Suffolk Regiment in August 1914. Then Temporary Captain in January 1917. Joined a battalion of the Suffolk Regiment in France, as Lieutenant, in May 1917, and was promoted Captain in June 1917.

Geoffrey attended Ipswich School – entered the Preparatory School, May 1905, and placed in Prep B. Promoted to Sixth Form, September 1913. He passed the London Matriculation in 1914 and also made a School Prefect. He was a splendid gymnast, being Captain of “Gym” in 1913 & 1914, and representing the School at Aldershot in both years. In 1909, he joined the O.T.C., and became a Sergeant in 1914, also gaining Certificate “A.”
