A family note:

Frederick Rout was my great grandfather. My dear late Nana, Olive Cook (his daughter) often spoke of her sadness that he was killed when she was just three years old and how she never knew him. She went on to have three children and nine grandchildren. Those nine grandchildren have 26 children between them. My oldest son is named Frederick after his great great grandfather.
