On the 15th November 1906, Frederick’s father, Frederick Clarke, of Riverside Road, was fined 2s. 6d. for neglecting to cause his son to attend school.

 

On the 1911 census Frederick’s parents, of 23, Riverside Road, Ipswich, recorded that Frederick was at an Industrial School.

 

Frederick’s infant sister Elsie Florence Clarke died December 1904, aged 5 months, at 107, Bramford Lane, Ipswich. His infant sister Ruby Irene Clarke died September 1908, aged 7 1/2 months, at Riverside Road, Ipswich.
