Frank was recorded in the Somerford Street School Addmissions – he started at the school on the 28th August 1899, father Francis Ferguson, of 50, Somerford Street. Frank left the left the school: 11th January 1901.

The school was re-named Stewart Headlam School, in 1924.

Frank’s sister, Ellen Ferguson, born 1895, Bethnal Green, also attended Somerford Street School. Starting on the 30th January 1899, father Francis Ferguson, of 50, Somerford Street.

Ellen of 50, Somerford Street, is again recorded at the Somerford Street School, on the 7th April 1902, she had previously attended a Parish School. Her father was deceased. A comment written when she left the school on the 19th December 1902, reads that she was very backward in spelling.

Frank’s brother, John Ferguson, was baptised at St. Bartholomew’s on the 8th January 1902. Mother Mary & father Francis – deceased.

An entry in the London, England, Selected Poor Law Removal & Settlement Records, 1828 – 1930, reads that Ellen Ferguson, aged 4 & Frank Ferguson, aged 3, on the 31st January 1901, of 50, Somerford Street – to go.
