Died: 9th May 1918; age: 35; Died of Wounds – Shell Gas & Acute Bronchitis – received 28th April 1918, at Broadwater Hospital, Belstead Road, Ipswich.

Enlistment Details: Location: Moosomin, Saskatchewan; Date: 3rd August 1915; Age: 32; a Widower; Occupation: Bricklayer; Religion: Methodist. Next of Kin: father – Edward John Houston. Height: 5ft 8ins.

 

Rank: Sapper; Service Number: 104294.

Regiment: Canadian Engineers.

On the 3rd August 1904, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada, Edward married, Mary Bell France, born 1882, Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada died April 1907, Almonte, Ontario.

They had 2 sons:

Clarence Earl Houston, born February 1906, Almonte, Ontario.

Arnold Holland Houston, born March 1907, Almonte, Ontario.
