Alfred was 18 years old, a Soldier, ranked Gunner in the 4th Depot, Royal Garrison Artillery.

 

Alfred’s father was Robert James Murrell, born 1869, Bramford, Suffolk – died 1899, Shotley, Suffolk – buried September 1899, Bramford.

 

Alfred is also remembered on the war memorial at St. Mary the Virgin, Bramford, Suffolk.
