Assumed Dead: 1st July 1916; age 24; KiA.

Enlistment Details: Location: Ipswich; Date: 23rd July 1906; Age:14 years & 6 months. Height: 4ft 10 ins; sallow complexion, grey eyes & light brown hair.

Date of Entry Therein: 15th January 1915 – France.

Rank: Private; Service Number: 8457; Regiment: York & Lancaster Regiment, 9th Battalion.

Medals Awarded: Victory, British War & 1915 Star.
