14th November 1919 – IPSWICH ST. MARY QUAY WAR MEMORIAL

The memorial erected by the parishioners and congregation of St. Mary Quay Church, Ipswich, in honour of those who fell in the Great War was unveilled at the conclusion of the morning service on Sunday by the Rural Dean (the Rev. S. Green).

The memorial consists of a handsome brass tablet, on which are inscribed the names and regiments of 22 former members of the parish and congregation of St. Mary Quay, who gave their lives in their country’s service.

The ceremony concluded with the sounding of “The Last Post” by a member of the 4th Suffolks.
