10th October 1940

 Aircraft: Percival P-10 Vega Gull; serial number: X9435. The aircraft had been in private civilian operation before the war with the civil registration G-AEWS, but had been impressed into service with the R.A.F. No 8 Anti-Aircraft Cooperation Unit was based at Filton Aerodrome, Bristol, but used various other airfields around the South West of England. On the 10th October 1940, X9435 broke up in flight at Norton Manor Camp, Taunton, Somerset.
