Enlistment Location: Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.

Date of Entry Therein: 17th January 1917 – France.

Service: Musketry Instructor with the 10th Battalion of the Suffolk Regiment until he went to France, where on arrival he was attached to the Bedfordshire Regiment.

Rank: Sergeant; Service Number: 33708;

Regiment: Bedfordshire Regiment, 4th Battalion.

Formerly 21334, Suffolk Regiment, 19th Battalion.

Jane Jowers was living at 31, Surbiton Road, Ipswich when she received notification of Jack’s death.
