Relatives Notified & Address: Son of Commander Percy Froud, R.N.R., and Isobel Morton Curr Fround, of Dovercourt, Essex.

 

Father: Percy Froud, born December 1885, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire. Percy became Harbour Master at Harwich and was commissioned in to the Royal Navy Reserve on his retirement on 22nd November 1950. Held the rank of Commander. RD. RNR rtd.

Mother: Isabel Morton Carr Froud (nee Orr), born 1896, Preston, Lancashire – died 1938, Dovercourt, Essex.

 

Ernest attended Ipswich School.

 

Ernest is also remembered on the war memorial at Ipswich School Chapel.

 

Ernest’s set of medals – 1939-45 Star, Africa Star and War medal in box of issue with condolence. Sold for £29 at Bonhams, Knightsbridge, London.
