Allan is also remembered on the war memorial at Nacton, Suffolk and at St. Augustine of Hippo Church, Ipswich.

Aircraft: Wellington; Serial Number: IC 9043, Unit: No 15 Operational Training R.A.F. The aircraft was reported missing on a ferry flight from R.A.F. Station Portreath, to the Middle East on the night of 16 January 1942. All the crew lost their lives.

Sergeant/Pilot John Raeburn Brown – R.A.A.F. age 23.
Flight Sergeant/Air Gunner James Hassett Hehir R.A.A.F. age 32.

Sergeant Joseph Ernest Browne R.A.F.V.F. age 32.

Following post war enquiries and investigations, it was recorded in 1948 that the missing crew had lost their lives at sea.
